"Jane, what are you doing?!" Jason's yell sounded like a whisper among the wailing sirens and sounds of explosions from inside the ship. The door to the small eye shaped space craft was already closing up but Jane wasn't planning on boarding.
"I have to stay here and make sure you make it safely to the past. The first you have to do when you land is to find me."
"What are you talking about? Just board the goddamn ship!"
"Just trust me." Jane backed up as the door to the only way of escape closed.
"NO! I'm not leaving you here! You'll die!" Jason slammed the door with his fits, trying to break it open.
"If you don't find me, then I will die."
" JANEEEEEEEE!" Jason yelled with all his might but it was too late. The ship was dispatched, leaving Jane on the mothership that had been set to explode in 3...2...1...
There was no sound, just utter silence in the dead space, but where the mothership was, only debris remained.
